DJI Mini 3
Unboxing & Highlights
Compared with DJI Mini 2, DJI Mini 3 has comprehensively improved the imaging system, battery life, and other aspects: With a lightweight and compact body under 249 g, DJI Mini 3 features a 1/1.3-inch image sensor that supports dual native ISO and chip-level HDR technology and supports shooting 4K HDR video. The drone can be used with the Intelligent Flight Battery and Intelligent Flight Battery Plus, and the maximum flight time is 51 minutes. The new gimbal design allows for True Vertical Shooting and large-angle tilt.
Let's kick things off by taking a look at what DJI Mini 3 has to offer:
Highlights of DJI Mini 3: Why 249 g Matters?
Weighing less than 249 grams, DJI Mini 3 is light, portable, and can fly in most regions without registration or training.* Toss it in your bag or your pocket for your beach day, family BBQ, or hike.
During the development of the DJI Mini 3 series (DJI Mini 3 and DJI Mini 3 Pro), the engineers encountered a problem: they wanted to improve image performance, battery life, and intelligent features but maintain a compact mechanical design. The challenge was to keep below 249 g weight while expanding functionality. They decided to start with the materials. In order to reduce weight, the arms on Mini 3 series drones were reduced as much as possible, and all the screws were replaced with lighter titanium alloy.
The engineers also spent a lot of time optimizing the physical design to be as efficient as possible to ensure DJI Mini 3 achieves optimal performance, even in windy environments.
Highlights of DJI Mini 3: small, yet powerful
DJI Mini 3 combines powerful imaging performance with intelligent features, allowing even beginners to create cinematic footage effortlessly. It is equipped with a 1/1.3-inch sensor, 2.4μm (4-in-1) large pixels, an f/1.7 aperture, dual native ISO, chip-level HDR technology, and can record 4K HDR videos. It also supports QuickShots (Dronie/Circle/Helix/Rocket/Boomerang) and True Vertical Shooting.
The Camera? Stunning 4K HDR
Equipped with a 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor to capture small details in highlights, shadows, and true-to-life colors day and night. Shoot in crisp 4K HDR with Dual native ISO. During the day, capture highlight and shadow details for more nuanced visual results with greater depth. Continue to capture clearly and vividly, even as day turns to night. And with 4x zoom, you can explore further and scout locations before you shoot.
Create Easily and Effortlessly
With True Vertical Shooting, your epic content is ready to share on social media. And, with QuickShots, get like-worthy content with cinematic flight patterns like Dronie, Circle, Helix, Rocket, Boomerang, and Asteroid.
Which remote controller is right for you?
If you are looking for an easier and more comfortable control experience, DJI RC is a great option. Compared with DJI RC-N1, the biggest advantage of DJI RC is the built-in 5.5-inch HD display, which allows for immediate use after powering on without connecting to a smartphone. It can provide crisp viewing even under direct sunlight and comes with the DJI Fly app pre-installed for more efficient aerial photography.
