Will the weight of DJI Mavic Mini exceed 250 g when using a microSD card?

Which drone is better for me: DJI Mavic Mini or DJI Mavic Air?
Mavic Mini and Mavic Air have the same 1/2.3” CMOS 12 MP camera, with the Mavic Mini offering up to 2.7K at 30 fps and the Mavic Air offering 4K at 30 fps. Both are excellent drones for frequent travelers with high requirements for portability.
Where the two drones start to differ is in terms of size, flight times, and ease of use. Mavic Mini is smaller and lighter, weighing less than 250 g. Mavic Mini is operated with the new DJI Fly app, which is perfect for users with no editing experience, offering creative options to turn any video into a social media clip. Is DJI Mavic Mini under the same flight restrictions and policies as other drones?
Yes. However, Mavic Mini weighs only 249g, making it eligible to fly in some countries and regions without needing registration.

What camera does DJI Mavic Mini have?
Mavic Mini has a 12MP 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor (24mm-equivalent lens with an ISO range of 100-3200).
Does DJI Mavic Mini support intelligent shooting modes?
Mavic Mini and the DJI Fly app support multiple QuickShots to make it easier to shoot cinematic video with just a few taps. You can also set intervals on the camera for the ultimate selfie.
What image quality can DJI Mavic Mini shoot?
Mavic Mini is capable of shooting 2.7K quad HD videos. Mavic Mini’s camera packs plenty of power for new users who are still looking to create stunning content!
Is the footage stable?
With a 3-axis mechanical gimbal, you can shoot incredibly smooth footage.
Can DJI Mavic Mini shoot RAW video? Can I set the support exposure manually?
Mavic Mini does not support RAW format. Auto mode is the only exposure mode supported for video recording, but you can toggle between Auto and Manual modes when taking photos to help you with tasks such as capturing better nighttime shots.

How high can DJI Mavic Mini fly?
The default max flight height for your Mavic Mini is 120 m, which can be increased to 500 m by changing the settings in the DJI Fly app. The max takeoff altitude is 3000 m. But please be aware that the max flight height can change depending on the different rules and regulations observed across different countries and regions. We recommend that you check all relevant local laws and regulations for your aircraft each time before you fly. It’s always good to stay safe!
What is the max flight speed of DJI Mavic Mini?
The max speed of Mavic Mini depends on which flight mode the aircraft is set to: Sport mode, Position mode, or CineSmooth mode. The fastest horizontal speed Mavic Mini can reach is 13 m/s in Sport mode. But be careful! Mini moves really fast in Sport mode! Only use Sport mode after you’ve done a bit of flying and are used to controlling your aircraft.

DJI Mavic Mini is so light! How does it perform with wind resistance?
Mavic Mini may be small, but it’s no pushover when it comes to handling windy weather, hovering stably at wind speeds of up to 8 m/s (level 4 winds).
Does DJI Mavic Mini have obstacle avoidance systems?
Mavic Mini’s downward sensors (along with it’s GPS) aid with positioning and stability. If you are flying in an area with obstacles, we recommend using Mavic Mini with the 360° Propeller Guard to protect the propellers and fly safely.
What video transmission technology does DJI Mavic Mini use?
Mavic Mini uses enhanced Wi-Fi transmission technology to help you maintain stable visual contact with your aircraft.

Does DJI Mavic Mini have Pano, Timelapse, or Zoom functions?
No. Currently, Mavic Mini only supports single shot and timed photo modes. But if you’re looking to take some fun interesting footage, we do recommend trying one of Mavic Mini’s four special QuickShots!
Does DJI Mavic Mini support ActiveTrack or any other intelligent flight modes?
Mavic Mini supports four QuickShot modes for taking fun aerial videos: Rocket, Dronie, Circle, and Helix. Currently, ActiveTrack is not available for Mavic Mini.

What size phone fits in the remote controller?
Mavic Mini’s remote controller supports most smartphones on the market, but compatibility may be affected by large phone cases.*
- Compatible phone sizes: 6.5-8.5mm thick and no more than 160mm long.
Can I connect to my drone using Wi-Fi and use my phone as a remote controller?
You can only control Mavic Mini using the remote controller.

How long can DJI Mavic Mini fly for?
Fully charged, Mavic Mini has a 30-minute flight time when flown at a constant speed of 14 km/h in calm weather. Mavic Mini’s light weight and a 2400 mAh Li-Po Intelligent Flight Battery help it fly longer than your average drone.
How long does it take to charge?
Using the DJI 18W USB charger, a battery can be fully charged in 90 minutes.
Can I use the DJI Mavic Mini battery with other Mavic products?
No. The Mavic Mini Intelligent Flight Battery is not compatible with any other Mavic series aircraft, remote controllers, or the DJI Smart Controller. Stay safe and always ensure you are using the correct battery for your DJI product!

Can I use DJI GO app?
No, Mavic Mini only works with the new DJI Fly app.
How do I update DJI Mavic Mini’s firmware?

Can I edit DJI Mavic Mini footage within the app?
With DJI Fly app, you can easily edit clips and create videos to be shared across your social media channels in just a couple of taps.
Is DJI Fly app available for download? Where can I download it?

Does DJI Fly app support drones other than DJI Mavic Mini?
Currently, DJI Fly app only supports Mavic Mini and Mavic Air 2, but we are planning on adding support for more drones in the future. Stay tuned!
