The two physical buttons under the touchscreen are designed to deliver a more efficient control experience:

Zoom Button (Left):

Press once to switch to 3× zoom (if currently at 1×), or return to 1× (from any other zoom level).

Press twice to switch to 6× zoom.

Press and hold to smoothly zoom in at a constant speed (zoom speed can be adjusted in the Settings).

Custom Button (Right):

Press and hold to smoothly zoom out at a constant speed (zoom speed can be adjusted in the Settings).

Custom settings: Swipe down to access the menu and map specific features to a single, double, or triple press. Available options include: Switch Gimbal Mode, Photo/Video, Quick Capture, Switch C1/C2, C1 Quick Capture, Rotate Gimbal, Recenter Gimbal, Enable/Disable Gimbal Lock, Enable/Disable Fill Light, Follow/FPV, and so on.

Osmo Pocket 4P features a dual-camera system with a wide-angle lens and a med-tele lens, covering popular focal lengths to meet diverse shooting needs. You can switch between the two lenses while shooting for flexible zoom.

Wide-angle lens: Features a 1-inch CMOS sensor, a 20mm equivalent focal length, an f/2.0 aperture, and a focus range from 0.09 m to infinity. Ideal for wide-angle shots like landscapes, daily vlogs, and group photos.

Med-tele lens: Features a 1/1.28-inch CMOS sensor, a 60mm equivalent focal length, an f/1.8 aperture, and a focus range from 0.2 m to infinity. Ideal for portrait close-ups and distant details. Its f/1.8 aperture creates natural bokeh that helps your subject stand out.

Yes, Osmo Pocket 4P features a physical dual-lens design (20mm wide-angle lens + 60mm med-tele lens). The two lenses cover different focal length ranges. During recording, the device switches to the corresponding lens based on the zoom level, rather than merging footage captured by both lenses simultaneously.

The wide-angle lens boasts up to 17 stops of dynamic range*, delivering superior highlight and shadow details. The med-tele lens features a large f/1.8 aperture for a softer, more standout bokeh effect. Both lenses are strictly calibrated to ensure a highly consistent color style. When switching lenses to zoom, the transition is smooth and natural, effectively minimizing any visual shifts.

The 60mm focal length is achieved using a dedicated optical lens equipped with its own 1/1.28-inch CMOS sensor. It is not a digital crop of the wide-angle shot, ensuring exceptional clarity and rich details.

Yes. The wide-angle lens supports up to 8× slow motion at 4K/240fps, and the med-tele lens supports up to 8× slow motion at 4K/200fps.

The new Multi-Person Tracking feature allows the gimbal camera to automatically lock onto and center multiple subjects (up to 8 people) in the frame. If anyone steps into the shot during recording, the gimbal camera dynamically reframes to include them, keeping everyone centered.

How to Enable: Tap the Smart Gimbal icon on the left side of the screen and select Multi-Person Tracking. Alternatively, swipe down to access the menu and assign this feature to a custom button for one-tap activation.

How to Exit: Press the joystick once or tap anywhere else on the screen to exit the mode.

Zoom Note: Zooming is not supported while Multi-Person Tracking is active. To adjust the framing, it is recommended to set your desired zoom level in normal Video mode before enabling the feature.

Gesture control:

1× to 2×: Approx. 3 m

2× to 3×: Approx. 4 m to 7 m

3× to 12×: Approx. 8 m to 15 m

Subject tracking:

1× to 2×: Approx. 0.5 m to 10 m

2× to 3×: Approx. 1 m to 15 m

3× to 6×: Approx. 1.5 m to 25 m

6× to 12×: Approx. 3 m to 50 m

There are three modes: Hyperlapse, Timelapse, and Motionlapse.

In Hyperlapse mode, you can set the resolution, frame rate, and speed.

In Timelapse mode, you can set the resolution, frame rate, interval, and duration.

In Motionlapse mode, you can set the resolution, frame rate, interval, duration, and waypoints.

Customizable parameters:

Hyperlapse: 4K/1080p@25/30fps. Set the speed to Auto, 2×, 5×, 10×, 15×, or 30×.

Timelapse: 4K/3K/1080p@25/30fps. Set the interval from 0.5 to 60 seconds, and set the maximum duration to unlimited.

Motionlapse: 4K/3K/1080p@25/30fps. Set up to 4 positions.

Designed by DJI, D-Log 2 is an all-new professional color profile featuring up to 17 stops of dynamic range. It effortlessly handles high-contrast scenarios and delivers stunning results even in backlit conditions. By retaining richer highlight and shadow details, the new D-Log 2 profile ensures exceptionally clean footage.

10-bit D-Log 2 only supports 1× zoom. In D-Log 2 color profile, the maximum dynamic range reaches up to 17 stops.

Single: Tap the screen to lock focus once, ideal for shooting static subjects.

Continuous: Includes four options—Default, Product Showcase, Subject Lock Tracking, and Registered Subject Priority.

1. Default: Maintains continuous focus. Ideal for filming moving people or objects.

2. Product Showcase: Prioritizes focus on objects closest to the cameras. Ideal for showcasing products.

3. Subject Lock Tracking: Locks onto a subject and keeps it in focus when a detection box is tapped on the screen.

4. Registered Subject Priority: Gives focusing priority to a registered subject.

It supports six built-in film tones: CC Film, NC Film, Pastel, Warm Tone, Movie, and Retro.

Film Tone and in-camera Beautify are only available in Video mode and cannot be used simultaneously. When Film Tone is enabled, the in-camera Beautify settings are unavailable. If the in-camera Beautify is already enabled, switching to Film Tone mode will disable the beautify effect.

Osmo Pocket 4P introduces several major upgrades over Osmo Pocket 4, including:

1. New 1-inch sensor for upgraded image quality

The wide-angle lens features a new 1-inch stacked CMOS sensor. Powered by LOFIC technology, its dynamic range leaps to 17 stops ^[1]. In high-contrast scenarios (e.g., shooting out a window from indoors, or backlit portraits), it retains both highlight and shadow details, preventing overexposure or underexposure. Additionally, it supports the new D-Log 2 color profile ^[2] with up to 17 stops of dynamic range ^[1]. This is the highest dynamic range Log profile currently available in DJI consumer cameras ^[3], providing immense flexibility for post-production color grading.

2. New 60mm f/1.8 med-tele lens for superior portraits

The med-tele lens features a 1/1.28-inch sensor, a 60mm equivalent focal length, and an f/1.8 aperture, delivering a bokeh effect equivalent to approximately f/6.3 on a full-frame camera. Compared to the wide-angle lens, it offers more pronounced and natural background blur for portraits, making the subject truly stand out. It also minimizes facial perspective distortion, resulting in more attractive portraits with a premium feel.

3. Dual cameras paired with digital zoom offer a versatile focal length range

1× (20mm wide-angle lens): Offers a broad field of view, ideal for selfie vlogs, landscapes, and group photos. It effortlessly frames subjects within their surroundings.

3× (60mm med-tele lens): A classic portrait focal length. Ideal for photographing people, delivering natural bokeh and excellent perspective.

6× and above (distant shots): Capture distant details clearly without moving closer. Ideal for stages, street photography, and distant travel shots.

4. Significantly enhanced zoom capabilities

Photo zoom is increased from 2× to 9×, and video zoom is increased from 4× to 12×.

5. Faster shutter speed

The electronic shutter speed is upgraded from 1/8000s to 1/16000s.

Other specifications remain identical to Osmo Pocket 4, including the touchscreen (2.0 inches, 556×314 resolution, 1000 nits brightness), microphones (3 mics), battery capacity (1545 mAh), fast charging (80% in 18 minutes, 100% in 32 minutes ^[4]), as well as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth specs.

You can control the gimbal camera from up to 25 meters away. For optimal stability, we recommend keeping the distance under 10 meters.

The touchscreen includes the following:

Double-tap: Double-tap the live view to select a subject, start ActiveTrack, and keep the subject centered in the frame.

Playback icon (left): Tap to view footage (swipe left to exit).

Control icon (right): Tap to switch the joystick function between controlling gimbal tilt and camera zoom.

Battery icon (top right): Tap to check the battery levels of the gimbal camera and Osmo FrameTap.

Flip icon (bottom right): Tap to flip the gimbal camera facing forward or backward.

Camera icon (bottom left): Tap to switch shooting modes.

Storage info (top left): Displays the remaining recording time or available storage space (display only).

Yes. The fill light features three adjustable levels for both brightness and color temperature:

Brightness: Low: 12 lux | Medium: 25 lux | High: 40 lux (Measured at 0.6 m)

Color temperature: Warm: 2800 K | Neutral: 4000 K | Cool: 5500 K

Once paired with your phone, the gimbal camera automatically connects to it when the camera screen is off, transferring selected media to your phone’s album in the background and saving you the hassle of manual exporting.

Customizable Transfer Rules:

By Type: Choose to transfer photos (including live photos), favorited videos, or all videos.

By Time: Set the media timeframe to All, Past Day, or Past Week.

Seamless Background Transfer:

Ensure your phone’s Bluetooth remains enabled. During the transfer, the DJI Mimo app displays the real-time progress and connection status via a floating window, allowing you to use your phone normally without interruption.

Storage Protection:

You can customize a reserved storage limit in the DJI Mimo app. If there is not enough available storage on your phone, the transfer automatically pauses with a pop-up prompt. Manual confirmation is required to resume the transfer, preventing your phone’s storage from filling up.

Auto Media Transfer requires pairing the gimbal camera with a smartphone and enabling the feature within the DJI Mimo app. Compatibility is currently limited to iPhone 12 or later models running iOS 26.4.1 or later (iPhone 16 or later models recommended for optimal performance). Support for additional smartphone models will be added in future firmware updates.

Yes. Osmo Pocket 4P supports in-camera HDR for both photos and videos. HDR brings you higher peak brightness, richer shadow detail, and smoother color transitions, so your shots capture the light and texture of a scene more faithfully, with greater depth and clarity.

Live Photo does not support HDR photo capture.

The settings for the on-screen custom button are exactly the same as those for the physical custom button. It can be set to various preset features, including Switch Gimbal Mode, Photo/Video, Quick Capture, Switch C1/C2, C1 Quick Capture, Rotate Gimbal, Recenter Gimbal, Enable/Disable Gimbal Lock, Enable/Disable Fill Light, Follow/FPV, and more.
